Abstract

This study aims to determine the knowledge of manuscript writing and the readiness among selected accounting students to conduct research from a tertiary institution in Olongapo City, Philippines. The study used a descriptive-correlation research design to 70 purposively chosen students. The data underwent descriptive and inferential measures with the help SPSS 23 software. The study found that students were "knowledgeable" of the different parts of manuscript writing and were "ready" to conduct research. There was also a significant relationship between the knowledge of manuscript writing and the readiness of the students to conduct research. Writing the results and discussion part of the study was a significant predictor to conduct research. Implications for the institution, faculty, and students were suggested.

Abstract

Preservice teachers’ preparation is crucial to the real world of teaching. To prepare teacher education students, field study courses are embedded in the curriculum before the teaching internship. Other preparations such as attendance to seminar/workshop with special topics relevant to the teaching-learning process as well as community immersions are included in the long list of preparations. Community immersion allows a preservice teacher to gain experience that later on will be important in the teaching practice. Such immersion can only be achieved successfully if preparation is done appropriately. In this study, a qualitative needs assessment was performed in one barangay in Olongapo City. An interview with the chair of the committee on education of the barangay was conducted to gather information about the participants and to the barangay’s program for these learners. It revealed that mathematics literacy programs are the most sought after in the locale, which is followed by reading literacy and science learning. Observation and random interviews among the participants were performed to observe and document both the numeracy skills and scientific literacy skills of the participants in the program in this study. The result of the assessment and observation is therefore used to craft a literacy program that will be participated in by learners of the barangay and facilitated by BSED-Science and BSED-Mathematics Pre-service teachers.

Abstract

was established on December 29, 2003, to enhance efforts to eradicate corruption in Indonesia. KPK has the task and authority to coordinate, supervise, investigate, prosecute, and prevent corruption, as well as monitor the administration of state governance. Since its establishment, KPK has handled over 1,064 corruption cases committed by public officials and individuals close to the seat of power. However, in carrying out its duties, KPK has encountered obstacles such as political configuration influences and limitations on authority through legislation. Therefore, this research aims to evaluate the influence of political configuration on the performance of KPK as well as the obstacles that hinder KPK from carrying out its duties and authority optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to find out what factors can support the success of succession planning in a corporate organization, this study uses a literature review of several articles related to dependent and independent, in this study does not use a questionnaire distribution involving respondents, the findings of this study are all variables independent variables significantly influence the dependent variable, so succession planning is successful if there is support or influence from the independent variables.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out what factors can influence the Development Organization at Company, This article aims to review and synthesize a literature review related to and Servant Leadership, Transformational Leadership, Transactional Leadership, Organization Commitment see the research results of the variables to be reviewed and whether there is an influence between one variable and another. This study uses a literature review by looking for references related to the variables of several international articles. This study provides an overview of the articles obtained by describing the influence between variables. The purpose of the study was to look at a mini-review of 20 selected articles related to variables and present findings, using a qualitative method with a literature review of the results collected. The results of this study there are several articles that have an influence and still have to be continued in further research with the same variables perhaps with different objects.

Abstract

It is a common practice in statistical analysis to draw conclusions based on significance. P-values often reflect the probability of incorrectly concluding that a null hypothesized model is true; they do not provide information about other types of error that are also important for interpreting statistical results. Standard model selection criteria and test procedures are often inappropriate for comparing models with different numbers of random effects, due to constraints on the parameter space of the variance components. In this paper, we focused on a minimum Bayes factor proposed by Held and Ott (2018) and applied it to a balanced two way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with random effects under three cases namely: Case 1: both factors are fixed; Case 2: both factors are random; Case 3: factor A is fixed and factor B is random. We realized that in all the three cases, considered the Bayes factor indicates weak evidence against the null hypothesis of zero variability in the effects of the levels of the factors as well as the interactions. This result is due to the conservative nature of the minimum Bayes factor.

Abstract

In this study, we imposed Analysis of variances test (ANOVA) which use when we have more than two treatments or different levels of a single factors that we wish to compare then we assume homogeneity of variances across the groups being compared although most of the earlier works that have addressed the problem of testing equality of mean variance overestimates the appropriate variance and the test statistic becomes conservative. This is the well-known Behrens – Fisher problem.  Then we are interested in comparing several treatments means in this work, we made use the analysis of variance under unequal variances when the groups variances differ. It will be very inappropriate to use the pooled sample variance  as a single value for the variances, instead the sample harmonic mean of variances   is proposed as an alternative to the pooled sample variance when there is heterogeneity of variances. The distribution theoretically  and confirmed using simulation studies and this proposed harmonic mean of variance was , examined in this work and found useful for unequal variances. Data set from Kwara State Ministry of Health on the incidence of diabetes diseases for male patients was used to illustrate the relevance of our proposed test statistic.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether or not there is an effect of the Knisley mathematics learning model with the help of the GeoGebra application on the mathematical problem solving abilities of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Batang Kuis. Based on the results of research and data processing, the following conclusions can be obtained: from the calculation results of the hypothesis test, it is obtained that tcount = 7.719 and ttable = 1.671, it is obtained that tcount > ttable which means that H_0 is rejected and H_a is accepted. So, it can be concluded that there is an influence from the Knisley mathematics learning model with the help of the GeoGebra application on the mathematical problem solving abilities of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Batang Quiz

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to see and describe from the review literature related to the variables present in this study. The existing problems are the elaboration of the review literature obtained by the researcher. The method used is qualitative with literature review, where the literature review of researchers and the findings of  review articles are related to the  results of each variable, employee trust is significant with employee trust, furthermore work life balance is also significant with employee performance, transactional leadership is significant with large presentations and there is also insignificant with minimal results, then  Employee Performance with Organization Sustainability did not find direct results that stated significant or insignificant.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative study that analyzed the impact of IT/Cloud-Based Application on various variables in the logistics business in the JABODETABEK area. The data was collected from a survey of logistics companies and service users and analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that the implementation of IT/Cloud-Based Application had a positive and significant impact on market positioning but did not have a significant impact on product innovation, business resilience, and revenue improvement. The study suggests that companies that can adapt to market changes and use IT/Cloud-Based Application will have a better market positioning and competitiveness, especially in light of the changes brought about by the COVID-19 crisis.
